WATCH: AVOIDING REVENUE ROADBLOCKS (ARR)
More than 100 CFOs and Operating Partners joined five-exit CFO, Gary Ito, of Warburg Pincus-backed defi SOLUTIONS and private equity grade revenue forecasting software, Kluster's, CEO, Dan Thompson and Camino Search's head of C-suite practice, Oliver Dunne, for a global webinar focussing on revenue forecasting.
The hour-long session, held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 and titled 'Avoiding Revenue Roadblocks' (ARR), covered off critical points affecting accuracies, challenges and efficacies around ARR and forecasting.
The panel discussed:
- the playbook if you are a new CFO joining a PE-backed company to assess the efficacy of revenue forecasting
- the 'rules of thumb' for new businesses, pipelines and how it converts to revenue
- recommendations when defining the different forecasts, calculating them, and communicating them internally
- unpredictability in major deals that could swing a quarter, how to you recommend forecasting in this case, and communicating this uncertainty to the board
- When driving towards an exit, how does the integrity of revenue forecasting affect the ultimate multiple achieved?

There's only one forecast we have as a company. Yes, there are regional forecasts, there might be a country forecast, et cetera. But the concept of different forecasts really is just within layers of the company. At my level, at the CRLR, CRO's level, the CEO's level, there's only one forecast. That's the forecast that the company is giving the board.
